I need help with my 18" work rims

I bought used 18" work rezax rims on ebay. I bought new Michelin PilotSport a/s tires for them. They were mounted and balanced. I now have a shake when I get to 60mph bad, like they are unbalanced. I went to a different shop and had them rebalanced. Still the same. I went to lexus they inspected eveything. They did a alinement, another balance , and inspected all the joints and stuff like that. They could not find out why it still shakes. It is bad from 55 to 65mph. If I go like 80mph and over it goes away. Under 40mph is fine also. When I put my stock 16" back on it drivers perfect. I also made sears get me 4 new tires because some people thought that is what it could be. Still the same with the new tires.

The shake come from braking at 60mph or just driving 60mph.

It comes from driving. Not braking. The steering wheel shaks bad. Just like the tires are rims are unbalanced. But they are.

i hav the same problem with my 20''(aftermarket rims)
it's not a big deal.
just get the l-tuned steering ecu from steve, it should help

i had that problem on my other car, it was the ideler arm for the steering, the bushing was bad so it would move about 2mm when i would drive over 60. u can test it when the car is powered but not engine running, then turn the wheel left to right and have someone at the front to see if it pops up. not sure about the setup on the GS cus i just got mone 30days ago but im sure its similarf

Ask the tire shop to remove the tires and perfrom a bare rim wheel balance. It sounded like it's coming from your rims..... are they stagger? If not have you rotated them ???? from front to rear ?

with my 18" i too get a shake at 60mph and up....so sad

from what people say we need these to fix the shaken....select ur wheel company...they rang from $35-$49 for a set of 4

What he says is true. I had to get them on my passat a couple years ago. Once I got them it was like a new car. They made all the difference for me once they were installed.
