aftert extensive testing & real world running for extended periods here is what i have found....

XERD?
very light weight .. thinnest & largest runners of all.. adequate construction & welding the new polished stainless ones are supposed to be better tho.... prolly push out the most HO say with SC etc due to the design & size of the individual runners... but the design also wil lnot work wit hany other SC but Toyomoto.. .so applications for FI with this header are limited.... for NA.. . lost low end torque & power is HUGE.. .i mean you'll sit there at a green light with the pedal to the medal & the car wil lmake alot of noise but go nowhwere fast.... ALSO this header introduces a very nasty raspy resonance that i could not stand.... i tossed it for A Toyomoto

OBX?
...same MFG as the TBKO i think,.... they look identical.. .bvery good design for low end torque & power you wil lNOT be left sitting at the light when the 89 mistubishi starion revs on you... this one will PULL nicely from sdown low unlike the others.... OBX quality has been suispect ... but any one can improve their game....?

HP Racing?
... Same as gen 1 Toyomoto & Pro-1 header all made by HP for Toyo & the others.. .good header .. .stil lhas a raspy note to i5t tho i did not like .. .good power but again & as with all "Long Runner" designs you WILL LOSE low end power & torque... heavier part & slightly smaller runners that XERD...more solid feeling & slightly reduced rasp due to thicker tubes I think etc.. will accomodate any SC out there so far from TBKO to Toyo to

Alphawerks?
fairly new & supposedly also the makers of the new Gen 2 Toyomoto... Alphawerks & Toyomoto Gen2 are the same & should be very similar to the gen 1 toyomoto in power & performance.. same Long Runner design so you will again lose Low end torque & power... very similar sound i would also assume.. .& power delivery... also should accomodate any SC out now....

hope that helps...

I personally am running the Stainless steel TBKO header/Race pipe & the Full Stainless/Catback Borla Exhaust & it foggin ROCKS!!!!

the car purrs when cruising & foking SCREAMS like a bad Mofo when you floor it.... icon_biggrin.gif

Don't forget the pro-1 headers and megan racing racepipe.

The "affordable" solution which no one has complained about.

I think OBX seems to be the best quality, quite sounding, header for the price. I found the headers and downpipe for $250 shipped.

Ya know..............I've looked at them...

It is almost impossible to see the difference between the OBX & the TBKO... quality on both even the OBX is actually pretty damn good, & all i think for the price it is a great deal either way,... they are manufactured just as well as any other commonly used header out there i have seen...

except perhaps for the JIC...? but I dont think any one has seen them in person who was not at SEMA....

the new Toyo gen2/alpha werks I have seen look pretty damn clean, tho they are a totally different design....

i believe you are right...

.... but that is just the Gen 1 Toyomoto..& the Pro 1 as well....they are not doing the gen 2...that is supposed to be Alphawerks

congrats on being a dealer...!

sure they're good .. .they ALL are pretty good .. .but they do have different characteristics & power delivery depending on the design....

The Toyomoto Gen 1 & 2 are pretty similar really I thought that the gen 1 Toyo. are not quite as Nicely made as the gen 2 are made now...& i think that is the main difference.... but the only one that will add power overall & Still keep great power & torque lower in the rpm range where you will use it most in daily driving is the TBKO

yes............TBKO/ TurboEAST....... same deal.

check it out on their site...

that one is a short runner design & is the best for great overall power increases while keeping great low end torque & power based on my independant testing of 4 diff headers for the IS 300...
