Sorry for the pointless details that follow, but I have to tell you everything about the best night of my life. Last night was High school graduation for all of us youngins. There were parties everywhere. I went to this multi school party and hung out With my friend's cousin, who happens to own a 2001 Electric Green E-Shift IS.
I've talked to her a couple of times but never really hung out with her. She said she was gonna leave at around 5:00, so I said "I'll walk you to your car." With other motives in mind of course. HeHeHe. When we got close to it she pushed her unlock button on her remote to flash the headlights and "tease" me. Not funny.
She knew how much I LOVE that car, so I offered her five bucks to just let me drive it to a stop sign 30 feet ahead. She goes "No....................................................................................but I'll let you for free. I frickin jumped in the driver seat. I turned that baby on and listened to it purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. mmmmmmmmm. I was honestly shaking so bad, I couldn't shift into Drive. Now that I think about it, I didn't worry about mirrors, seat adjustment or anything when I got in cause I was so comfortable in it. It's like we were made for each other. I finally got it into Drive even with her giving me weird looks because I was making all kinds of "happy" noises.
I put my foot down and took off. I went around the block a couple times trying to weave in and out of cars parked on the side of the road. Awwwwwwwww. I cruised by the front of the party and enjoyed EVERY jealous look I got. Stupid girl had to go and start getting tired though, even though it was still early at only 5:30.

I stopped once more at a stop sign on the way back and just sat there and shifted through the gears. It felt SOOOOO smooth. I like the 5-speed better though. She dropped me off in the front of the party and said bye.
I watched those little round trunklights dissapear into the night/morning as I felt a part of me leaving. That half hour was all I talked about to my friends for the rest of the night. They wanted to slap me. One of my friends today said he wants one now even though he just rode in the backseat. HaHa. That was my first test drive ever of my DREAM CAR, hopefully not my last when I get one in two years.
I guess if you take anything from this at all you IS owners, or any form of Lexus owners, it's to NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE of what you've got cause there's kids like me who have a passion for these cars and can't have one......YET. You don't know what you've got til it's gone. I have loved that car for one year and hadn't even taken a drive in one til last night. That only sealed the deal that I am GOING TO HAVE THAT CAR. Don't be stingy about your cars and let people have rides if they ask cause you never know when you could make a high schooler's day. HaHa Hope you enjoyed my story....and gosh that was long.

Yah, you defiantly don't know what you have, till your driving a rental car for 2 months because some chick smashed into my brand new 2003 Sport Edition. Erggg.. Well should be back very very soon, waiting on a few parts.... ***Clearing throat.. Hopefully she still drives the same.
