It was funny I was on the phone with a friend at like 1:57am when all the sudden, it felt like somebody was shaking my chair. I turned around and said, "What the f**?" In a puzzled manner. Then I was like, "dude, that was an earthquke." Quite exciting and scary at the same time.

As it turns out the center was very near Isla Vista, basically UCSB and registered a 4.6... For more infomation:

WOW! I lived in SB for 10 years, and there was never a quake centered in IV. But man, did we feel the Northridge one 10 years ago. That was quite a shaker.

I still remember my dad running into my room telling me to get out of the house on the Northrige earthquake!!!lol

That was really something!!!

The epicenter for that was basically down the street from you Steve!!
