Is it me, or does this seem like a really really good deal? You think they are real Brembo?

What about the boxes in background, those sure look like Brembo boxes? I dont know, this is a temping deal. Paint all the calipers red and throw on a set of flatline Lexus stickers in white. Would look sweet! All that would be left to do is a set of HRE chromies... icon_lol.gif

Would be nice!

Yah, his feedback is really good. Everyone seems to be happy with his products. He does claims the rotors are factory size, so they are not the 'big brake' kit. Just standard sized, Brembo, cross drilled and slotted. Might be a good deal.

Aren't the rotors on the IS the same size in the front and the back?

No, I don't belive so. The front have more surface area, they are different. If you look, the calipers on the front are bigger and more aggressive.

You'd think it'd be the opposite, with the driven wheels having bigger rotors and calipers.

They are not the same size and they are selling brembo "like" rotors. Warpage occurs after a couple hundred miles.

Braking is done like 70% on the front I believe. Check it out, you'll see the front rotors have more surface area.

I believe I got an answer about these rotors, they are in fact Brembo factory, but they are cross drilled and slotted aftermarket. So that explains it.

By the way, which is better slotted or cross drilled? Because I think the official Brembo are only one or the other, not both. That’s why I am a little hesitant to purchase because all this drilled and carving weakening the rotor.

Now why would a company buy brembo rotors and machine them?

I have read many complaints about rotors bought on eBay regardless of feedback. The feedback pertains to the money and shipping transactions usually, not the producy after use.
The comments are mixed though. I have heard good things about irotors.com but they warp after a few hundred miles like Steve said.
I will be buying a set soon and will be something along the lines of StpTech, Rotora, TRD, etc.
Pads will be Endless, Project Mu, etc.

If you don’t want to run into any problems, take your factory rotors to a good machinist and have dimples drilled into them “ small craters” this minimizes the chance of warping and cracking, I don’t recommended holes in the rotor, it causes small cracks in the rotors if your doing hard braking like road course situation, this is from experience, the dimples do the same thing as the holes do, the dimples allow the gasses produced by the pads extreme heat to escape into the dimples in the rotor minamizing brake fade , but they don’t do the cooling like the holes do and don’t look as aggressive, like I was saying for the street have them made and if your doing some hardcore racing then just do the real thing don’t do it half way.
just do the full brembo kit and don’t Mickey mouse around and you should be much happier with that out come.
