Install: Clear Corner Lenses

The factory corner markers are amber, and a lot of people feel changing these to clear make for a cleaner look on the IS. I for one, agree.

Tools Needed: flat head screwdriver, ratchet with 10mm fitting

Difficulty:

Time: About 20 mins

Step 1: Locate the two rivet style plugs in the inside fender wall. With the flat head, gently pop them out. They come out with little difficulty. Pry the fender wall out of the groove in the bumper as seen in pic. It is easier to start from the top and pry it out little by little.
Step 2: Locate the plug harness going to the stock side marker. You can see it clearly in the pic here. Grip the harness, and turn slightly either way to unlock it from the lens housing. Pull it out, and out of the way.
Step 3:You can remove the harness from light socket now with ease. If you wish to keep the white bulb you may, but be forewarned that it is illegal in some (most) states.
Step 4: Simply swap the plugs out with the new amber bulbs. My kit came with the bulbs, some other kits may not. It is not necessary to change the actual bulb socket, you can change the bulb itself to any color you wish.
Step 5: Reach behind and inside through the fender well. You will feel 2 small 10mm bolts holding the housing in place. Slide your ratchet with 10mm attachment back there, and loosen the bolts and remove. The housing then simply pops out.
Step 6: Reverse the process installing the new clear lens housing. Be sure when locking the bulb harness back in place that all your connections are secure. Re-attach all screws tightly, pop the fender wall back in place, and re-insert the fender wall rivets.
That's it! Now wasn't that easy? Go cruise around town and show off your new mod.
