1. Excellent Macro
2. Long battery life
3. Good low light applications.
The camera above seems to be the best irrigardless of cost.

mm....... i heard the Canon DSLR is the best one... theres this guy on my accord forum thats like pro and shoots for magazines, ill ask him.

I've heard of that camera and its like $3k with no real advantages besides its ability to take rapid photos.

This is a great camera. I have the S5000. This is a good pro-sumer camera.

there is a portal to the S7000 on this web site.
Advantages are the ability to add telephoto len's and filters...without spending huge bucks on a pro line DSLR
Images in RAW format give you 12 mega pix

the problem though is it doesn't have a close enough macro.
I need the camera for product pictures which need extreme close-ups.
It does have a HUGE ccd.
Why does it have such a low megapixels?

The thing I like about that camera is the ability to swing the lense away from the body especially when your at car shows and she's about to "drop it like its hot" but you can't see because everyones big head is in the way!

I uv that feature also!!
As for $300 to good to be true!!!!
Don't know what to tell you, I seen some nice stuff happen on Ebay, but also seen bad things happen!!
So far like 28 bids have been place on that aution, so theres like 7 Hrs left i think it will hit high 6's low 7's but its up to you if u wanna trust someone with a 85% good average feedback!!
I would take my chance if I had the money!!!!

Whas crackin' Steve. 6.1 megapixels is topnotch shit. If I were you, I would definitely stick with Nikon or Sony. Sony preferably because they pretty much lead the market in digital cam technology. Try this site out bro. All the specs are included along with pic of digital cam. BTW, next month I'm going to order a bodkit and Lowenhart M4 DUBS for my GS300.
Hopefully after the new look I'll be worthy enough to join the crew and start helping to promote the site more. If you find a digital cam that you like make sure you also get the model number and punch that in on www.pricegrabber.com or www.pricewatch.com. They have the most comparable prices around on the web. I'm a computer tech junkie..

Well.....after long deliberation, I went with the Olympus C-5050 (5 MP)
It's highlighted featers are the F1.8, 3 types of media cards and uses double a rechargeable lithium batteries. Digital cameras are super battery hungry and I'm alwasy going thru them. Before I had to wait till the battery is done recharging. Now I just swap them out and put a fresh set in. Here's a picture......(been taking quite a lot lately) 3200 x 2500 resolution
