I have a 04 IS300 with H&R springs which lowered the car 1.4 inches. I have 19 inch wheels. I had a problem with the fender being hit by the tire and it only seems to happen on the front driver side. I got the plastic wheel well off and got the fender rolled. I just put on Tanabe front and rear sway bars and a Greddy Evo exhaust. Now the driver's side is leaning a quarter inch more. It rubs pretty bad and I somehow feel like I'm driving a fucked up Honda. I've gone to the shop and complained but they have no clue and wont pay for the fender. Someone tell me what the problem may be.

Your simply too low for your rims.

1. You can try rolling the fenders more.
2. You can trim the inner lining away at trouble spots.
3. Your tire size is probably a bit too big for your setup. 215/35/19
4. You could get eibach springs instead raising your car .5"
5. You could live with it and rub rub rub.... icon_cool.gif

What is the offset of your wheels? The wrong offset might have the wheel sticking out too far, thus causing the rub a dub dub on fender.
Also, the sway bar might be pulling the driver side down. I have that these lowering springs tend to drop the driver side down a little lower than the passenger side. Your only hope?? Go with a coilover so that you can adjust it accordingly. You might be able to placy with the sway bar brackets a little to pull tension up on one side. I am not too familiar with how the sway bar setup is on the front of the car, (I'm referring to my Honda knowledge on this one). Good Luck.

Thanks for the info, I went to the shop and they now think that my springs are too soft. The leaning problem is worse now before the tanabe sway bars. bad spring, sway bar need adjustments or etc..... The shop has no clue and it's totally bullshit that I have to try to find the problem myself. the shop is Street Toyz in Rocklin, CA.

Why would you ever take your car to a shop called "Street Toyz"??? Sounds like it is run by a bunch of mullet wearing mini-truckers.

Let me guess, there was a Mazda B2000 in the lot with a "Bad Ass Boys Drive Bad Ass Toys" sticker on the window.

That was a good one but they had wheels and aftermarket products for imports. I regret for ever stepping foot in that retarded place and buying stuff. Now I will report to BBB and give them hell!!!
