Some Noob Questions About the IS 300.

Hi everyone, I am looking into the IS 300 to be my first ( real ) car. I've only driven and kind of looked into my friends cars, but I had no info on the IS, so I decided to post here.

So the first noob question - The IS 300 uses a Supra 2JZ motor right?
If it does, can the stock motor be swapped out for the Supra's 2JZ-GTE and the stock trans swapped out for the 6 Speed V 160 Transmission from the Supra?

Also - What do you think of the IS 300 being a "first car"? I am in high school right now, and lots of people seem to go for either the 240SX's or a civic, eclipse, etc. Is the IS 300 a money pit like the RX-7's are?

yes i believe you can swap the engine for the 2jz-gte supra engine and also the tranny. I also think this is agreat first car better than any 240sx or eclipse

I agree the IS300 is better quality and a higher class and style hands down!
