I'd say :
1st Rims
2nd Drop
3rd Exhaust n Intake
4th Stereo
5th After time has passed w/ intake go for F/I

I would say.....

1.) Intake System......(Btw Carbon Fiber Lextasy intake will have sample by tomorrow)

2.) Springs

3.) Rims ....and so on

What everyone seems to is backwards.

Body kit, Rims, Lowering....lol...ghetto

I have had sooo many Radar Detectors......

by far......

hands down.....

Valentine one is THEE best......Mainly becuase it saves you time looking around for the cop when it goes off. (Has little arrows)

PostPosted: Fri Mar 07, 2003 9:20 pm    Post subject: Work from the Ground Up Reply with quote

IMO: Depends on Funds

If you got the cash:
The best theory is to work from the ground up...... What good is forced induction if the suspension and brakes can't handle the speeds.

1. Tires / Rims
2. Suspension (not just lower... tighter) Sways, Shocks, etc..
3. Brakes (IS has nice brakes, but if you have Stage 2 or 3 F/I ????)
4. Exhaust
5. Headers
6. Intake or F/I ($$ expensive)
7. Etc... (more engine stuff, gears, pulley's, pumps, ...)

If you don't have the cash:
Now that is great in theory.. but if you don't have the flow after dropping most of it on the car itself (like me), then consider what you are shooting for: Looks or Speed.
Speed:
1. Intake
2. Exhaust
3. Save money for F/I

Looks:
1. Rims
2. Body kit (Ltuned is nice)
3. System
4. Tint
5. Etc......

I personally think the IS looks good enough, but I want to go faster. So I added an SRT Intake First, and a HKS Carbon Exhaust Second. I'm strapped for cash so the "ground up theory" would take forever for me. I would rather have a 530 HP IS300 that looked stock than a stock HP IS300 that looked like it should be 530 HP....... IMHO Sleepers Rock!!!
