Ok..... i'm completly clueless. I'm new at the forum thing so please be patient, I own a 02' is300, I was wanting to boost it, but i don't want to get into any internal engine replacements. So I was wondering if anyone (from experience) would know how much boost my stock motor and tranny can handle. Before i have to do bigger moderations.

Hate is a strong word.

Not really an engine nut but more audio/video type of guy but hear it goes. I would suggest doing the other stuff first like the breaks, transmission, exhaust and such before I would "boost" by engine. You want to make sure the other parts can handle the load even if the boost is low to moderate or you could have a nice boosted engine with your tranny on the floor and unable to stop in adequate time.

Thing to take into account:

Exhaust: Headders, down pipe, exhaust
Rear Gears
Transmission
Breaks: nothing like having 500hp on OEM breaking system.

Monster is right. Boost is one of the LAST things you want to add to a car! You'll get laughed at when you take your car in to add boost to a stock engine. That is a lazy, half-assed way to trick out your IS300, and I'm guessing that is why you haven't had any responses to your post--Not because we don't have an answer, but because your question doesn't MERIT an answer. Get your engine, tranny, and brakes up to par, and then get your boost. Your car will perform better, last longer, and you'll get alot more respect from your IS peers.

Don't act like a spoiled brat. Is your name Paris? If you would do some homework of your own (ie. search the internet or maybe call an aftermarket shop) you would get a better idea of which direction to go. Are you sure you can handle boost? You can't even take rejection. Good luck.
