IMPORTANT LEXUS QUESTIONS

Hi, I'm 17, finishing my senior year of high school, current owner of a 98 ES lexus. My dad is buying me a car. He wants It to be in the range of $30,000-$40,000. I am having a really hard time deciding on what car to buy and what will get me the most run on my money. I like lexus because its a lexus. Because Lexus is the only Japanese car that battles and wins over european cars such as mercedes and bmw in Luxury, quality, and reliability. Maybe not performance and handling But definitely luxury and features.

I want a kinda sporty car, with a lot of luxury such as navigation system, leather, back up camera, and a good sound system.

Is new generation GS 300 faster then previous generation GS 300. Also, how much faster is the new GS 350 vs new GS 300. And is the engine on the GS 350 worse quality?

Im trying to decide between these cars below.

new ACURA TL S-type fully loaded - $38,000

everybody drives them. design is getting old for me. Quality/reliability is questionable. 70% of the car is made in USA/CANADA. The 2006 lexus GS and IS are made 95% in JAPAN !! This must mean a lot in terms of quality. We all should now america make some of the worst cars in reliabity and quality. bahh. Corvete! Smorvette! Its a Go-car on steroids with cheap interior and horrible quality.

Talking about the acura's 286 horse power, The lexus ES 350 has 276 hp and it costs 43,000 with Mark levinson sound system, back up camera, and DVD navigation.

new IS 250 AWD - $38, 875 <<< sound system SUCKS!!! i would have got it, but the sound system is ass. another 3,000 to upgrade to mark levinson and 3 months wait!!! bullshit!!!! Anybody know an even better cheap sound system that i could have installed for like 1,000 maybe? Damn, the standard sound system is really weak. I'm a musical guy. This is upsetting for me. I really wanted this car. But ooops 3,000 more for a good sound system. That makes it 42,000. My dad would say, "oh the acura TL has all that but for only 38,000 and the car has a hell lot of room, same quality/reliablity, and its faster!" << I can't argue with that. My only aruement is. "well its a lexus, better design, better interior, more braging rights"

ACURA RL new generation fully loaded ?2004? ONLY 8,000 miles - $34,000 special dealer's price

I personally want to get the new Lexus GS. My dad and his cusin are arguing with me that the acura TL is the best choice for me. My uncle is like "acura TL won best in its class in 2006." He says that acura quality is unbeatable and electronics on hondas are the best. I think personally that lexus quality is the best, and that lexus is more expensive and has better status. So much people have the acura TL. This doesn't bother my dad, but it does bother me. You can get a 2004 acura TL for $24,000 at 65,000 miles which scares me to pay $38,000 for the new TL now even though you get a good warranty for a new one. What is the difference in ACURA quality/reliability vs LEXUS quality/reliability. Is it just the brand name LEXUS that wins people over? Or is it really that nothing compares with lexus reliability? Because really any car you take care of you will be alright with. Should i give a f*ck? LEXUS or ACURA?! You get so much more standard with an ACURA TL S-TYPE. And that s*it faster then the IS 250 and GS 300, am I right?????

My dad is not to excited in buying a used car, especially the GS that i want. I might not be able to convince him to buy it. I would like to hear everybody's thoughts and opinions on what car for me to buy and WHY. I appreciate any help. Thank you!

Damn, i would get a new BMW coupe 335i. That ride super fast and amazing handling. 5.3 seconds 0-60. With a $1,500 chip (REVERSIBLE) modification you can get 400 horse power and under 5 seconds 0-60. With This modification you still have the 4 year warranty. This 3 series totally destroys the acura TL, IS 350, and the upcoming 2008 infinity G35. The car is cheapest at $43,000 though!! and you only get leather seats, no step tronic, no navigation system, no back up camera, not much anything except bmw speed and fun driving.

I know that after the 4 year warranty I have to sell it because BMW's are a waste of money fixing all the time especially paying for ridicously overpriced BMW parts. Also, i don't want to be one of those spoiled kids with a 300 hp german car. I'd buy it for myself in the future, but i need a car now and i think its worth spending an extra 5-7 grand more for the beamer. It will get me at least 5 times more ass then a lexus, infiniti, or acura. Damn. Nothing like a fun BMW drive and its bold sexy design.
