IM NEW TO THE THIS FORUM WEBSITE...IM LOOKING FOWARD TO BUYING A IS300 BUT I DONT KNOW WHICH ONE TO GET...IM PROBABLY GOING TO BE RACING IT AFTERI MAKE MODS TO IT SO PLEASE HELP...SHOULD I GET THE AUTOMATIC E SHIFT OR THE MANUAL TRANSMISION...YOU MIGH SAY IM A NOOB BUT WHY DOES THE AUTOMATIC IS300 HAVE 3 PEDALS...THANKS

First off please do not use all caps. It means that you are yelling. Second if you want to race the manual transmission is the way to go. Third the last pedal is the foot-rest. If you are serious about this please research before you post. I know you are a noob but most around here will not answer you unless you discover the search button. Also visit you local Lexus dealership for used Lexus and test drive. You can always get around the pesky sales people..you just got to know what to say.

I'd go with a stick if your not lazy. The auto is pretty bad ass but won't shift to 1st ever! So your stuck with 2nd thru 5th

2-5th gear is only in california, other states have 1-5 gears. I dont know why, i heard its because they want to prevent burnouts in CA.
