After Market Stereo

I got the aftermarket stereo hooked up but wont play through speakers, i heard i have to hardwire all the speakers is there any way around this? and if that is the only way is the sound quality still the same?

The speakers probably won't play because there is a factory amp in the car somewhere. (Usually in the back of the dash area or in the trunk) The easiest way is to wire the speakers directly, the quality of sound from that point is determined by the quality of the aftermarket headunit. I haven't found a way to get aftermarket headunits to work with factory amps yet, perhaps someone else know of a way? Good luck.

aight thnx, another thing where behind the dash passenger or driver?

I can't say with certianty as I have not looked for it in an IS before, but in past cars I have found in the middle. Essentially, directly behind the stereo on the floor near the firewall.
