i have a 2006 is250 which i purchased in december and it seems my brakes squeak when i first have to use them after my car has been sitting for a few hours. i took it to the dealership and of course it didn't squeak with them. the service man indicated that may be normal for those brakes. has anyone with an is 250 had any similar problems?

My IS has about 5000 miles and they still squeek a little. The dealer told me that it is because they are new and need to be broken in.

ive had my is250 for about 8 months now and my brakes have been squeeking ever since i got it. its so annoying and whenever i take it to the dealership they say its normal. I just don't understand how something that annoying is "NORMAL".

Ive had mine since Feb of 06 and I also have the same problem since ive got the car. I asked about it and the guy said they are making a new brake pad and I was wondering since the 07's are out that they obviously have to have a new one and should replace the squeaky ones for no charge. Im going to call them tomorrow and find out if the "new one" was made yet.

I bought my 2005 IS250AWD in September and the brakes produce no sqweaking noise. If there are enough complaints on the sqweaking then Lexus will replace.

I've been complained about the squeeky noise on my IS250's break for many times, but Lexus Service seemed to ignore the issue and said that they could not duplicate my concern. I am still driving around with that annoying noise for a couple months already. I thought lexus has the best service rating ... may be I was wrong.

Have anyone get any update from Lexus? Is there a defect on the brake issue? My 06 IS 250 is doing the samething. Personally, Lexus service in Tustin, CA SUC###$$. Horrible service.

I think there was a recent Service bulletin issued regarding the brakes squeaking and exceesive brake dust on the front brakes. I recently took my car to my Lexus dealer and explained to them that I was having both issues, and they replaced the front brakes free of charge.
FYI it only applies to cars under 50k miles, so do it sooner rather than later. My car does not have any squeaking and much less brake dust after getting this done.

I had that problem with my 06 250 for the first year. After i changed my brake pads, there hasn't been any squeaking for a year now.

there is a bulletin out to replace pads for brake dust and also one for a brake squeak. If you havnt been in a while i would go to a dealer again. If they cant duplicate the concern just push it on them, they may just replace the pads to keep you happy. It also depends on the technician working on the car
