New member looking into buying an IS300

Hello everyone.

Just wanted to say hello / introduce myself and hopefully find some useful information before I purchase an IS300.

I'm looking at an 02 - 03 as i think they're in my price ange and still unsure if I want to go the Sportcross in favour of the additional cargo room (camping / skiing etc). or stick with a sedan.

This caught my eye:

But so did a blue 03 sedan I saw online earlier today as well for 24k.

I love the look of both, I think I'm favouring the sedan a little more for looks but am on the fence when it comes to versatility.

Either way it's gotta be an auto (tired of driving my current 5 speed prelude in commuter traffic) and I'm planning on buying the first or second week of November so I'm trying to do as much research as I can ahead of time.

Any suggestions / things to look out for / check out on test drives would be most appreciated and any common problems with these cars I should be aware of?

I prefer the sedan over the sportcross (looks plays the primary role in that) how ever cargo room in the sedan is non existent. Once i put my baby's stroller in its a fight to find room for groceries. I'm pretty sure Washington doesnt usually get as hot as Florida, but another thing to know of is the metal ball on the shifter gets REALLY hot in the sun after a few hours. It looks great, just dont jump in the car grab it. It's a great car, alot of fun drive, and a nice ride. You'll be happy with it.
