my friend has a 1990 ls 400 v8. anyways i was wondering how hard it is to do a timing belt on these... and also if there is a write up for it. i tried to look but couldnt find any on 90 ls.. thanks

It's a serious operation, best left to the pros, unless taking half your engine apart is your idea of a good time... icon_smile.gif

I did a front main seal job on a 97 model ls400..It aint no joke,it took me about 12-13 hours(thats with smoke breaks and water and food breaks).What you're really gonna need is a cam holding tool and a crank holding tool.bout a hundred bucks for both...lexls.com has a bad ass tutorial on this,check it out
