Performance modules/chips for GX470?

Hello fellow car guys & gals,

I've just purchased a 2006 GX470 and want to "chip it". My online research so far indicates that Unichip is probably the best. There did not appear to much else out there but I did also find Next Level GBox/Tri-Phase Performance module for 1/4 the price and Jet Performance offers an out of vehicle ECU reprogramming service. I also found an Apexi boost controller but have no idea what it actually does.

Anybody have any experience with any of these products and/or can suggest some others?

I am not interested in doing any intake or exhaust modifications as this is the "wife's car". I just want to get a little more zip, crisper shifts, and remove that pesky 110mph speed limiter for when I drive it.

I am in the exact same spot as you are... wifey will be primary driver and likes it quiet... but i want the V8 to get a little nasty. I would love to hear from anyone that has modded a gx470. thanks!

Actually ended up waiting for the 2007's (MP3 player etc.). Picked up end of September and last weeked was the first time I got to actually drive it on a trip. Fine vehicle, surprisingly good handling in sport mode but... that pesky speed limiter. No chip yet, maybe next year. Does not appear to be alot of interest in hopping up the "soccer mom" SUV eh?

yeah, i was hoping that the V8 may have some options considering its used in several toyota/lexus vehicels... i will keep looking though... and hopefully...
