This drivetrain will last many more miles as long as you keep it maintained and serviced which will cost you since its a "Lexus". Since you got the timing belt done, you might want to make sure your mechanic checks to make sure your power steering pump isnt leaking. This is a common prob with the SC4. The power steering leaks and its right above the alternator, so the fluid leaks all over and both end up needing replacement which costs a hefty amount. So make sure to keep an open eye out for this.
If you change the stereo you might as well change all speakers around and if your not looking to spend a huge amount and dont need alot of bump, get a 10" and drop it into the rear deck. You might need to build a baffle/add a peice of wood on top to keep the subs magnet from touching the gas tank below.

I also have many problems with my stereo system. The factory amp is blown and i don't plan to pay for a new one from lexus. You could do a custom setup yourself or pay an audio store to do it. Probably better than doing it through Lexus.
