Hey i've had my car since 02 and i have 26,000 miles on it i was wondering . how long should my clutch last for ?? and how can i tell if its going bad ?

1, 1,event);" onmouseout="hidetrail()">Could last 27,000 miles, 150,000 miles or more. Depends on how you drive it. The less aggresive you are, the longer it may last.
You can tell it's going bad when there is: 1. no freeplay in the clutch pedal, this is the first 1" or so at the beginning of the pedal travel, or 2. when it slips, engine revs but your car isn't taking off as fast anymore. Note that you might smell the clutch disk burning.

Be nice to it, don't "ride" the clutch, make sure your shifts are "completed". You can still drive hard when you want to, just make sure the clutch pedal is all the way out (foot off) when you floor the accelerator and do "clean", smooth shifts.

Thank you... i really dont drive that hard. i honestly can say ive never driven my car hard. once and a while when i down shift i smell a weird smell , but i was told clutch smells like sulfur. (rotten eggs) what does it smell like ??

yes, sulfer sounds about right. No other way to really discribe it.
