Hey all.. New to the forum, this is my 1st post. I'm picking up a clean 1993 SC300 this week. The car has 108,000 miles and appears to have been well maintained. I guess I'm just wondering if there is anything specific I should look for on this car before I pay for it. There are no books or service records but it runs out great and has a new state inspection. The price seems right at $7,000 too. Any input would be appreciated.
That doesn't make any sense to me.. Automatics are worth more. I was in the car buz for years and 5-spds are much harder to sell and you usually get less for them. I'm not interested in a 5-spd and I already bought the one I wanted. I realize 5-spds may be popular with a certain crowd but in the real world, auto's are worth more. Also, in my area this car retails for over $9,000 so I think $7,000 is more than fair for a bone stock, unmolested, all original paint, new tires, new insp., fully loaded, SC300.

Reason being the 5-speed is a lil more expensive is because the 5-speed's are sooo rare, the automatics are easy to find. Go to an online place that sales used cars, like Cars.com or something and punch in SC300 and all you'll see are automatics, its rare to even find a 5-speed SC300 thats why those are more pricey...But if you want an automatic yeah that still a good price at the mileage...Just make sure you get a CARFAX before purchasing..But if it runs good go for it..Their good on gas, I have an SC400..more power =more gas lol...i wish i would have gotten an sc300 go for it..thats a good price..
