Comtemplating it myself. Have about 5K of gear from my old car to transfer. I hear that it is HELL getting bass through the cab of the Lex. Too much sound proofing I guess. I am gonna mount 2 Boston pro 12s where the spare is, and get rid of the stock sub and sorta make that a custom port.

I just got 2 12'' Diamond TDX12D4s powered by a Diamond D61000.1 amp. I had them mounted face up a-la the stock sub in stead of face out or contained in a box. The quality is great! No problem what so ever hearing the base and no rattling!

I also replaced all of the stock speakers and tweeters with Diamond S600s powered by a Diamond D5600.4 amp.

Let me get this straight??? You mounted 2 twelve inch diamond subs on your rear deck?? Isn't that a little obtrusive? Just curious? sounds good eh?

Nope. It's completely dynomatted over. The S600s speakers and tweeters do an excellent job keeping the audio clear while the subs do their thing. I don't drive around with them blasting full power, I just like having 12s giving me the base tones, providing the cleanest sounding music. Could you hear me comming from a mile away? Maybe, but I don't drive around like that... 90% of the time. icon_cool.gif

I'll post picks when I take some.

Eclipse Touchscreen (AVN 2454). Nav/DVD/CD/MP3 player etc.

I hear the new AVNs are comming out later this year with 20gig hard drives though. icon_mad.gif

I had it installed at the place where I purchased all the components. It took about a week and a half for everything. They took care of the DVD player not working while in drive without me asking them to so I assume it's a standard practice for most places.

The screen folds down to reveal the DVD and CD drives. The nav is on a DVD so you can not watch a DVD and switch to the nav at the same time.

Man, that is a sweet set up... Mind telling what it cost you out the door with install? Minus the amp and subs... I just wanna know what the dash work cost and the screen...

I got like 5K in stereo gear, diamonds, xtants, blah blah to put in, but I want to take care of my dash and make it look "stock" and not gay with a single din pop out screen. Your looks dope, and I am looking to replicate it. I just need to know how much drugs I gotta sell? LOL j/k

Not too bad, seems like waiting for the one with an onboard hard drive would be better. At least you can load the map crap on the hard drive and possibly get around map stuff on CD? or possibly i am way off base here?
