Love my GS, but it is chewing up tires. Okay first thing did I have the front completly checked out and a front end aligned? Yep. Then bought fou new Yohahama tires. 8k miles later the inside of the tred is warped in wear that I feels and sounds like I'm riding on snow tires. Air pressure has been maintained and tires where already rotated once. The front end alignment place has been in business for over 25 years and has all the latest equipment. It is aligned to specs.
Is there something I should know aout this car and it eating up tires.
Would appreciate insight on this.......

Thanx.......Todd

Okay but after you got thicker tires and they eventually wasted. Two thing. One did they still waste on the inside of both tires? and two what eventually 20k, 30k ? Curious

yes they did eventually waste from the inside but a lot more evenly, meaning with the rest of the tire....they lasted about 2 and a half years as opposed to the others i had which only lasted a little under one year.....i had them put on when my car was at 42,000k and changed them when it hit about 74,000, the falken i mean.

You need to not only rotate tires on a lexus but also flip them 180°

Steve. Sorry did not see your first response. The tires are wearing on the inside front. As I mentioned there has been a competent front end alignment completed the same day the tires were purchased. I saw your 180 comment as well. Why would that be necessary on the Lexus I never had to do this on any other car I have owned including all the Toyata products????

It depends how far you lower the car.

Steve the car is 100% stock. No lowering of any kind. Just went ahead and had the front end checked this week and the alignment is fine. The alignment folks mentioned that the Yokahoma tires, which are soft anyway, are rated for 50lbs max and that though the manual states 32lbs maybe with the wieght of the car it should actually be more like 42 lbs for these tires. I'll check with my tire guys on Tuesday. The other point that they made was that sometimes a particular tire just isn't the correct tire for the car. I'll check that as well.

Thanx for the come back.........Todd
