For those who aren't familiar with this.
Reseting your ECU involved either disconnecting your battery or pulling your ECU fuse in the engine bay. What this does is reset your driving habits/resets your seat and clock. It pretty much gives you a brand new Lexus.

The reason everyone wants to reset their ECU is because Lexus "Genius's" Designed our Electronic Fuel Control system with adaptive learning so that if you drive slow...it maintains that same drive slow pattern so that when you stomp on it, it tends to lag 2-3 seconds sometimes very vital in serious situations.

So instead of popping your hood, taking the fuse box cover off, pulling the ECU fuse and waiting 30 minutes, I rerouted the fuse to a switch inside the cabin.

First off guys, the car alarm is also routed to the ECU and some lights where your feet are.

I was hoping to go home at night, leave the switch off and come back in the morning to a fresh, responsive Lexus, but I don't want to leave my lexo unarmed.

Btw guys.....Reseting the ECU makes you feel like you gained 20 HP to give you rookies who haven't reset your ECU. Its feels that way mainly because its so damn responsive right after reseting. (DownShifts in split second)

I will get back with pictures and full right up and hopefully a better solution than going to Starbucks and leave the switch off till I get back

Steve did u come up with anything yet for the switch of resetting the ecu. That is the biggest difference in performance. even if u can make something and sell it that would be something everyone would buy. also is there any way to opereate the navigation while driving the car it is stupid to stop the car to use i would love to bypass this. thanks

I did design a kit for about $20 but it is a pain in the neck to install.

The main problem we ran into is that when the switch is off, your alarm won't arm and thus you can't leave your car unatended while your ecu is being reset.

Another issue was you needed to leave the switch off for up to 10 minutes.

The best way to do it is just remove your battery cable for a minute and you don't have to wait the 10 minutes, when removing your ecu fuse.

For people don't know, resetting your ECU removes all the gas saving fuel maps Lexus implemented into your ECU. Unplugging your fuse or removing the battery cable will be like you just got it from the dealer.
