What does Grounding Kit do?

I have noticed many hardcore rice boys with crazy mods, turbos, and grounding kits. I was just wondering what a grounding kit will do for your car? This may sound stupid, but I thought a grounding kit was to reduce the static eletricity from those cold winter days.

to make it short and simple.
they make more of a bigger impact on an auto transmission.
for smoother shifts.
which are electrical [audio] type of wires under the hood.

just to get you on some update:
if you have an IS.
a new product from tbko has came out called the electronic shift kit.
in this kit, it just basically makes faster shifts.
its very nice, and not too pricey. around 150-180, comes with a free shirt.

but i've heard nothing but good things about it, and it just came out like last week?
this shift kit is made into a module. with just one switch to turn it on and off.

if you are an e-shift is300 owner, i highly reccomend both of these kits to get rid of your lagggggggggggG. :wink:

^^^ TBKO's kit is not a grounding kit... he's asking about grounding kit.

Thanx guys for the info and enlightment. I own a 2002 manual, I guess the grouding kit won't benifit me that much, huh?
