A six speed will be Incredible in this Lite Weight car . On the Transmission is VIN JTHBN36F440126812 I understand there have been shifting lag problems and the breaking off of a retainer tang which jams in the Park mechanism - either of being the probable for it showing up at auction. The 'tang' breaks off if the car is 'Romped' - rapid acceleration and will require the 'Upgraded' retainer in the planatary gear set . Is there a 'Fix' for the Transmission Lag ? Is this in the computer or a mechanical problem that necessitated Lexus replacing the entire Transmission ? Is the 'Black Box' mounted on the Transmissions side the 'Computer Controller' ? I"m 45min. North of NYC - on the Hudson River. Is there a knowledgable Lexus Trans guy in the NY-NJ area who handles repairs on these 6 speed ? Thanks in Advance ! Brien.
