comming to LA from irvine I notice a 98ish 3 series with an aftermarket exhaust ((might be a Dinan)). We merge into the 10 freeway on ramp with me behind him. We go through the twisties of the on ramp which is pretty damn long. It finally turns into a 2 lane and I gun it. I get right next to him during a long stretch of a curve. Now at this point we are on the 10 freeway with 4 wide open lanes. I make a right lane switch and let him creep up next to me. But it didnt seem like he was creeping up. It was full throttle, so naturally I gun it at 3rd gear and bring it up to 6k. By the time I reached 5th gear he was behind me, struggling to keep up. My baby reached up to 130 mph with my heart pumping adrenaline into my brain. Then I realized I have never reached that high before in my sweetie. Not even my ex-car, a 99 Civic EX (top speed: 110mph. I began to get paranoid after my rush and started to brake it slowly, then down shifted to 4th to slow down. Then he just blasts right by me and he didnt stop going, he must have been going 150 mph at this point. I flashed at him so he would slow down and wait for me to race again but he was long gone. This was my first "real drive" on the freeway cuz i got my metallic grey IS300 'no plates' with 2000 miles on the meter!!! This car is awesome and i love it.

I drove the Z4 when my co-worker had it as a loaner... Great handling, smooth ride.. the power is obviously less than IS300, but it can give you a pretty good launch. IS300 will definitly take it over on the 2nd or 3rd gear..

yea the bimmer guy probably didnt expect getting burned by a brand new stock IS300 5sp (still no license plate) I don't think it was a 328 cuz it was wayy too easy of a kill. although reaching 130 mph for the first time is pretty damn scary :?

lol, I dont really want to reach 140 mph until my car is tuned for it like, appropriate down force and front splitters...need some, dare I say,...big rear wing for extra downforce????
