yep yep.. don't be too cheap on the coilovers.. remember, you get what you pay for...

Adjustable coilovers are usually ~1k+ new...

and unless you ahve all the tools and know-how to install them, the install (plus alignment) will probably cost you a few hundred as well...

the reason i said 400 was because i found this web site called www.ground-control.com and they have this:
8060.03 IS300 (with bump stops) 99- 5 .5 to 2.5 $ 419
I just wanted to know if i could get em for that cheap and if anyone thought they were good quality!
well look and tell me!

Ground Controls are not bad. Good for Hondas and VWs... I've used them before. Not the best ride in terms of comfort, but they do work. If you get these, definitely get some Tokico Illuminas. But after that, you are at $850.00 or so, so you might as well get TEINs, and be very satisfied like I am. I love those damn TEINs.

I had the ground-control for my last car, a '97 Eagle Talon. I only got them becuase 5 years ago coilovers were not popular for street application and there were few choices for my car.

I ended up speding CAD$690 for the groun-control plus CDN$1300 for the yelow koni's installed.. that's about CAD$2000 for the setup installed which is about US$1360... so there is not cost savings..

besides, because the groun-controls is a threaded sleeve that fits over the shocks, they wheren't weld together for rigidity there were lots of issues with rattling and moving parts.. very shitty in my opinion... after about 3 years one of the top aluminum mounts for the coil-over cracked... and one of the perch seized...

i would never buy another coil-over sleeve.. either get spring/shock combo or a true integrated coil-over system. Fork up the money now and save yourself hassles in the future..
