you have a long road of learning if you bought one of those ebay chips young grasshopper. The new RMM Intakes are crap, thats why theyre not sold here, can get them if you want though. SRT is the only way to go. SRT will come with its own chip. The high beam lights are for sale here, both the actual high beam lightbul as well as DRL LED.
LOL! "outperforms most other chips" id LOVE to see that outperform the SRT
whoa dude, theyll buy you your SRT intake. go Dyno with their chip in, and then dyno with the SRT chip and get them to pay for the SRT.

Why would I buy it if its crap?
SRT chip available by itself? How much?
Notice how ZG based in LA says competition under $175?
ZG cost was $20....what do I fucking care.....programmed in Fremont...
Do you have the dyno for the SRT chip?
Concise high quality light links would be great for GS400 high beam bulb replacement...dont know what DRL is....

find someone to sell you the chip for 175 dollars and the intake for whatever. if you really want it youll find a way.
The SRT chip was specifically designed for the air flow of the SRT Intake tube. Many hours were spent on the perfection of the SRT Intake tube with a suitable airflow/fuel map. Ergo, i doubt that you would recieve better or equal performance with a chip designed for generic/stock tubing running the SRT intake. SRT engineers did not simply choose the intake tube from a pile of excess parts and slap it into the GS400 in an uncouth manner as many other manufacturers do while combining it with an a/f map that was pieced together from general assumptions made by non-specific engineers. Understand that SRT builds some of the fastest Lexi (plural lexus) out there, INCLUDING the GS400 and thus this qualifies them as leading experts on specific lexus vehicles.
Often overlooked are the torque figures of the SRT Intake and Chip, while other manufacturers may boast high peak HP, the SRT is not ashamed to display either figure as they both represent substantial gains.
Hi-Beam bulbs are on http://www.lextasy.com/product_1155_detailed.htm
They were clearly labeled to me. HI-BEAM in bolded letters.
DRL is the daylight running lamps, basically the other light bulb that turns on in those "middle lights" during the day when you have no lights on but they turn on with the car and you have no option to turn them off. ask steve for details on how you can possibly recieve a set of these for FREE.

DRL stands for (Day time Running Light)

oh yeah, if you do make the mistake of buying another intake instead of the SRT Combo like me, you can always pick up the Apex'i S-AFC2 and have it Dyno-Tuned to produce similar outputs as the SRT.

Thanks for the advice....will go with the SRT intake....which exhaust do you then recommend....I prefer a quiter sound without sacrificing performance if possible....I heard the RMM is quiet....how is the compatibility with the SRT?
If I understood you correctly, I will need two sets of bulbs to replace the "middle lights" or high beam lights, the link you attached AND a set of DRLs?
Are the high beam lights available in more than 5200k?
Does that steering ECU make a big difference if you do not also upgrade with springs/shocks/lowering?

quieter sounding exhausts would be the RMM or L-Tuned. I think they both dont really sound too hot. In your instance i would go with the Borla, not too loud, not too quiet, but still has some performance factor.
SRT Intake is loud, be forewarned.
Yes, you will need two sets. The high beams if purchased more than 5200k will no longer match the Factory HID and you will get a funny looking 2 tone light job. anything mroe than 4100k is just for looks, as 4100k is about the whiteness of natural sunlight. anything more blue will begin to strain your eyes moreso.
Steering ECU cuts down on teh loose steering wheel feel. Basically in terms of actual performance, it doenst do much. But if you like the way the steering feels in a BMW then it is the way to go.

thanks NoRyceGS4....your feedback is greatly appreciated....
just to clarify.....RMM and L-tuned are quiet, but offer no performance advantage?
and are the HKS and Greddy systems really loud?
I like the way the Borla looks and the warranty is strong as well. Do you know the specific model number for the Borla exhaust for the GS 400. I live in SoCal and would rather pick it up in person and save the shipping cost and not have to order from SRT directly. Do you know of any SoCal shops that carry it?
I'm due for my 60,000 mile service right now at the dealer. I'm assuming they can install the SRT for me. How long does it take to install? Also, I read back in a previous post that people were having their stock ECUs reset. Does it make sense for me to have the dealer also do this or don't worry about it because the SRT chip does everything I need?

RMM and Ltuned offer minimal performance and are ultimately for looks. The HKS and Greddy are among the loudest. I am sure steve can get the borla for you. When you install teh SRT intake, your batter should be disconnected anyhow, so either way your ECU will be reset. I'm not sure if the dealer will do this, as it requires sautering wires for the chip. The intake itself is a 5 minute job you can do yourself. The chip is a little more fun.

Just picked up the Borla exhaust for my GS4 today for $449.99 + tax in OC. This was the best price I could find on the web. If anyone is interested in the Borla for this price, I can refer you to the distributor. Email me at slowdiver67@yahoo.com.
I'm ready to buy the SRT intake now. After taking NoRyceGS4's valuable advice and seeing a MPEG on the web of the Borla/SRT combo I was convinced. The exhaust sounds great and is not too loud.
All I need to do now is get some new wheels. Anyone know what wheel this is in the Club Lextasy Gallery? I really like this wheel.
http://www.clublextasy.com/modules.php?set_albumName=album03&id=145_4502_IMG&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php
Also, is there any other performance upgrades available for the GS4 other than a supercharger? I'm curious to know if anyone here has the RMM supercharger and how the performance is.

AristoV400,
I really like those wheels....are they on the high side of wheel expense, medium or low?
Why are you selling them? Is there a link where I can purchase them new?

Those are AutoCouture Rims. Very rare and expensive.
