hii.. i was on here before as some other screenname but i forgot cuz i havent been on here for a loooooong time.. so here i am again, only with a true purpose. lol.
i'm up to putting my current car back to stock and am in the market for a nice "new" used car.. and im thinking of the GS300.. *hence my screenname here*. jus wondering on the gas mileage and octane to use? lol. car's expensive as it is, let alone getting to GO from point A to point B. 
anywhoo.. i noticed theres quite a bit of mods and whatnot for the gs4/430's out there.. but not for the 3? they're pretty much the same body style no? umm... yea... iono what else i have to question, other than should about $20k for a 98-99 model sound right? i've searched edmunds and autotrader and have found most of them to be around $20k.

GS3 is compatible with GS4 and GS430 except the Intake systems.

the gs300 has the same motor as the is300....i think
both are 6 bangers.

I thou the GS300 was a V6?????
where on the other hand IS is inline 6 with aluminum heads!!! 
but I'm not sure if the GS300 its a V6 or not!!! |

I heard the same but never actually seen pics of it!!!
I know the JDM Altezza has the 3SGE motor which is a lot lighter but its only a four cylinder, I know this guy (probably most of u know who he is) name Oscar did that to his IS he actually got sponsored by Top Secret-Japan and the car was shipped to Japan and the swap the motor for the 3SGE and he super charge it!!
I saw him on the Fontana 1/4 mile track once and he claim the car was not running good but he did high 14's with the supercharger, he could do some nice burn outs tho!!!
I'm still waiting for someone to drop the 2JZGTE motor the IS and see the results!!! |

a guy in SD has a supra engine in his gs3, i seen it once at a lexus meet a while back. and i am sure someone has done the same for the iS, someone that deals with more is would be more helpful in finding out though.

wow thats really nice!!!!!!
Theres a guy on IS300.NET that claims he did it on his IS but he had some sort of complications and has not posted any pics or proof that he ever did it!!! |

Too expensive!!!!!!!
I can get it for $3K or $3800 with the 6 speed tranny or a lil over $5k installed, but it all depends on your plans before dropping in the motor!!
you might wanna upgrade the internals since the motor is already out i'll save u a lot of $$ in the future!!! |
