18x8 rimz are in my immidiate future... finally .
The ones i like have an offset of +40. Everywhere i look min offset associated with 18x8's is +45. I planned on running standard 225/40z18's as well.
Will this rim fly or what? My ride is stock height btw if that matters. Would this offset also effect future lowering? _________________ 2002 GGP IS300

you got the right idea... but not exactly right.. +45mm offset does not necessarly protrude 5mm in comparison to the +40 offset. But it is true that if your rims' offset is larger than the recommanded offset, you will have bigger chance of getting rubbings when wheels bounce up and down over a bump....
