They are running a GS400 to try and get people to ran on the interstate, he pulled up to me real fast and kinda hinted to race. Seconds before that my radar went off. Just then a red WRX fly's up beside me, and wants to race. Something is not quite right about that GS400, the WRX charges forward. The GS400 goes with him for about 10 seconds before the tail lights start to flash. It's a cop, he pulls the WRX over and me as well. He gave me a ticket for speeding 68 in a 60 (jackass). While I was waiting for my ticket he arrested the driver of the WRX for illegal racing and had the car towed. Could that be how they got the GS in the first place or maybe a drug car? Anyways guy be careful out there, now the WSP in Washington is riding in style. They need to contact steve on some wheel and cold air intake

Not that its a small difference, i.e. style wise, but the fact that i've been pulled over by a completely unmarked 4 door v6 accord. It was like a forest green/ completely tinted all around. They had L.e.d strobes on their rear view mirros, and strobes in their headlights. Guys were in normal street clothes, it was 2 of them. Yea, now if i ever see two guys in an accord tint'd out, (stock) stay away! i actually heard tha the IPD (irvine PD) has like a couple accords and an f150) or something like that. It's a bunch of Bull shiet. Luckily he dind't give me a tickt or anything.

isn't that entrapment? getting you to race, then pulling you over for racing?

fight it man, thats all i can say.

WSP has all kinds of unmarked cars, they have a bunch of ford explorers with super dark tint, various colors, a couple jeep cherokee's (not grand, old school cherokee 4 doors) a couple volvo S70 wagons.

they have pretty slick strobes hidden behind the dark tint that you can't see until they are on...

i think the only way to spot them is they have WSP license places.

the car looked normal,tinted window's,19's and some sort of exhaust. The key to the arrest of the WRX is he did not encourage the race he only pulled beside us. The plate was not WSP, it was a normal plate like the f150 and volvo's. They are getting tricky

no shit, can't hardly express how happy I am that my tax dollars paid for that GS. I washington, the state patrol have to write 2 tickets per hour to get over time. I hate washington.

actually there have been quite a few fixed up police cars, but not as many as there are now i suppose. however, contrary to your beliefs, your tax dollars do not go to these cars as cops pay for their own upgrades. ive read a web page somewhere in the recent pass that a state trooper made about his fixed up camaro. also, policemen that are undercover or out of uniform do not need to inform you of their profession, therefore these stock looking cars are perfectly legal. Entrapment would be where the officer rolls down his window and asks "hey do you want to race?" the only thing that they do have to do is show you a valid badge or id of some sort when they bust you.

i like your analogy but that is true, it is the same concept. as long as she doesnt ask if you want sex before you do, it's legal. Also now coming on the streets is a new tactic to stop car thiefs. what happens is cops spot potential suspects, generally groupe of individuals, and 2 completely stock cars pull up and the 2 drivers of the car make a scene, usually a dispute where the other driver has to get into the other car. Driver of car 1 gets into the other car and drives off leaving the other car on or keys in the car. Suspects then enter the car and as they drive away a couple of marked police cars pull them over and press the switch to automatically shut down the ''stolen'' vehicle. they even leave a nice message that comes on saying, "this is the police, you are under arrest and this vehicle's ignition is now disabled."

Damn, well at least they didn't tow you away, but that is nuts. I mess around w/ cars all the time. I'm gonna be a little more cautious about my drving habits now...

actually they can give you a ticket even if is not mark, i asked my friend who is a "PIG" he told me that in sometimes they will be in unmark cars to do others bust, but also they will do things like pull over people for speeding,ever since movies like the fast n the furious came out, the cops out there knows that they are more people racing on the street and know what we do to ours cars, not that they didn't know what we did before, but now they are even more aware of it, and they know that more and more people are getting into it cause of movies and stuff..... so the only way to avoid it is to have a bit a sense, i mean you can kinda tell when thing are not quite rite, i mean you can kinda smell a "PIG" i mean my friend i knew this guy since HS, but you can tell he is a "PIG", and specially if there is 2 guys that kinda look like "PIGs" in a fixed up ride, i hear lots of stories from my "PIG" friend, he sometimes drives a unmarked fied up M3, and he tells me he pulled over lots and lots of fixed up rides, not to mention exotics, what they do is just like booted said, pull rite next to you, wait for you to make a move, then they bust you, just remenber they always ride with a partner, at least one of them will look like a "PIG" if not both of them, just look out for things they do, like checking you out, trying to kinda see whatever they can inside your ride, then finally checking your plates, which i am sure they already have by then, but look out for things like that.

you could just let the car speed off first, that way you know its not a cop because then he would have initiated the race thereby causing himself to be under penalty of entrapment.

in agreement here, let them entrap you first. But you can just tell that something is not right. The drivers looks funny, car a bit to clean ect...

well, yeah, but entrapment is part of it, is like busting hookers and guys that want that kind of service, or when someone goes and tries to buy drugs from cops playing drug dealers, all of them can arrest you, it is entrapment, but you know what? that's part of the bust, the judge are aware of it. and belive me judges are on the "PIG's" side, not ours.
