Trunk Switch

Seems that the trunk switch that is next to the gas lid switch does not open the trunk when activated. However I can pop the trunk lid with the remote and also open with the key. Where would I start to locate the problem? Could it be a fuse or a faulty switch?

Finally I have the answer to this question!!!
I have lived without my panel trunk popper switch for over a year. I have searched the internet and found this thread several times, but unfortunately it asks the question but never had an answer.
The answer is embarrassingly simple.
There is a button inside the glove box that disables the trunk switch. This is to give you the ability to lock your glove box and give your car to a valet, who will not be able to open your trunk (as long as you give him the valet key and not the master!).
I assume this is the problem the thread starter had. If it was an electrical problem, the trunk release button on the key would probably not work either.

i have the same problem but it seems to a all electrical cause when my battery got discharge even the gas lid wont pop out..i think yeah its fuse. i'll go and check mine.
