LS400 PEARL PAINT

I need to have some body work done and couple sections of the car painted but the pearl paint is too expensive. The guy said I could go with another type of white paint and pay about $350. But he said that if I wanted the pearl paint, it would cost in the neighborhood of $750. I also went to another body shop and they said the exact same thing. Any suggestions? Is there another color similar to the pearl white paint so I could just paint the car that color asnd save $400? What is another good looking white color code?

The white pearl is a 3 stage finish. A ground coat must be applied then a mid coat of the pearl followed by a clear. this is a 3 step process in most cases. There are some paint companies that have a formula for 2 stage painting. ChemSpec USA has some but I would need your paint code and year of vehicle to check.

Whats up man my names victor i own a body shop in the city of stanton all my work is life time warranty on my paint and my body. Telling you in experence what you need to do is get a 3 stage but if you do want to go the cheaper way your not going to have the same results, even the white will look off. so it depends what kind of matching you want and what type of work you want done to it.
