I'm ready to purchase the Pioneer AVIC-D1 and wanted to have as much Info ready for the installers. I don't have much confidence in most of them.
Here are the questions I would like to have prepared for them. PICS would be great too.
What needs to be done to remove the head unit properly and cleanly (“You take your top vents off and unscrew the bolts holding in your HVAC(what is a HVAC). When you replace the head unit take apart the glove compartment and behind your air filter is the factory amp you have to tap into that and bypass the factory amp to eliminate it”)?
Instructions on removal of the stock sub (I understand the rear seat has to be removed “the stock sub you have to take off your back seats and remove the deck lid and there are bolts inside the trunk and when you remove the decklid you will see more bolts holding the sub in, and i believe the stock sub is a 9 inch woofer, why its like that is so you have to go to Lexus to replace it...but a 10 fits perfect in there”)
