Need help with finding head unit - 91 LS400 - pioneer

I've had this car for a year, and the stereo has never worked. I've read on various forums that this is a common problem with this model. I have the Pioneer setup with the cd changer controls, with the amp and sub. My unit will power on with a blank display and absolutely no sound. I went to get an aftermarket deck installed, and the technician advised me that I would have to replace ALL the speakers because of a difference in the ohms. I'm a baller on a budget, and I can't afford to drop a couple grand on replacing all the speakers. I need help finding a Pioneer head unit with changer controls for a decent price. I've tried looking all over on the internet, and I'm not having any luck. I'm dying without music, and I was wondering if anybody out there has had this same problem, and could possibly offer me some advice on getting some tunes for cheap. I'm not looking for the best system in the world, I just want music to come out of my speakers. Please help! Thanks guys...

you can keep your speakers, loose your factory sub and changer by just using a regular Toyota harness sold at any store there is no need for a premium harness with RCAs either. I just installed an eclipse indash and used the regular Toyota harness and plugged in what harnesses matched and left the other harnesses loose(Changer and Sub). The dash kit will most likely have to be special ordered. I used to work in car audio and recently bought a 93 LS400 and joined the forum. Its a basic install for a radio nothing complex. You can still add a aftermarket changer, but no need to replace the speakers if they still sound good or rewire.
