Ne Owner: 99 ES 300: Please Help: Car wont start right away

Hello To All,

I just got a 99 ES 300 with 130k miles.

The car starts right away in the morning when cold.
After driving and coming back the car does not start right away.....

Is this a major issue? Is it a sensor or idle sensor or something.

Because the idle actually also drops and the car just shuts off and i have to re start it.....

Did any one here have a similar issue.

Please help me as I am lost and am not sure if I got taken and this is a big issue or a small one.

I apretiate all of the help.

hello there, I read about the startup problems that you are having with your es300 and wanted to let you know that I am dealing with the same problem. i have tried replacing the air filter, spark plugs and etc but the problem remains. For some reason it only happens sometimes. it never happens if the car hasnt been driven in awhile. But after the car has been turned off recently and you try starting it, it wont start. You hear the engine shake and begin to die. You try to keep it going by reving the engine, but once you let go, it dies again. This is weird. Have you found a cure for the problem? Please let me know if you know how to resolve the problem... Thanks

Check the coils on the spark plug wires. often when they heat up they do not carry a charge quite as well so that could be your problem also check the coolant to make sure your engine is not overheating also check the air induction ports.
