Hey I am a is300 newbie from calabasas, ca and I was wondering if anyone that lives in the ventura county or the valley would be able to recommend a good shop to lower my new is300. Also I am trying to decide if I want to get 18's or 19's put on my car. I was wondering if some of you could let me know from personal experience some pros and cons maybe some of you is300 owners have gone through with the big 19in rims. Thanks for any advice any one can give me.............palladen

This is the general guide line from IS300.net:

front
width | offset | tires range (width)
x7 = 40 and up 215-225
x7.5 = 42 and up 215-235
x8 = 43 and up 215-235
x8.5 = 45 and up 215-225

rear
x7 = 40 and up 215-225
x7.5 = 40 and up 215-235
x8 = 42 and up 215-245
x8.5 = 45 and up 225-265 (255-265 requires rolling or shaving lip)
x9 = 49 and up 235-275 (MAY require rolling or shaving lip)
x9.5 = 52 and up 245-285 (MAY require rolling or shaving lip, 285 may require more modification)
x10 = 45 and up 255-315(requires pulling fender)

Very useful Ja!

As far as 19's go, u loose that lil bit of power, and many of my friends have bent their 19" wheels. But they do look nice icon_smile.gif I think , depending on what lowering springs you get, you will be fine with 18", and the performance is just as good, i have no complaints over mine.
