SC 300 TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS

I have a 94 300 with 127000 miles. The transmission is starting to act erractic only after about 10 miles or so of stop and go city driving.

Typically, when coming to a stop, the transmission doesn't disengage and lurches like a straight shift car if you didnt disengage the clutch.

Also, when you accelerate afterwards, it too quickly upshifts.

LOcking out the O/Drive seems to help the problem both ways as well as going to neutral as I am stopping.

Ive just flushed and changed the transmission filter with new fluid. Seems to help the lurching problem some but the problem still persists.

My transmission guy says I need a new transmission turbine andother comonents for $1750.

I live in the Ft Lauderdale, Boca Raton FL area and would appreciate a recommendation on a reliable and reasonable transmission service that can work on this if I have to go this route.

Has anyone on this forum experienced this or a similar problem.

Any recommendations or comments.

I had a similar problem, when i first purchased my sc I bought it off of this old guy in LA and he used the car to go to bingo and back, well the whole time he owned this car he changed the transmission fluid about 2 or 3 times pushin it, the car had 115000 miles on it...Yeah, my car started spudderin, and it struggled to go into the next gear, I finally changed the transmission fluid and that crap was blacker than asphault! I just kept changing it until it was back to normal and havent had a problem with it since..
