I can see how the Winnetka theaters would be far to ppl coming from waaay out there.. so what about this: We can choose a different location instead.. a midway point so we can get more ppl to go. Cuz I do want there to be more ppl than last time. Hell, we had longer to plan this sheeyat out. So here goes: Burbank 14 is playing it at 8:25pm. We could kick it and grab food, then watch it there. CityWalk is playing it at 9:30. We can meet up somewhere there and get food and drinks. Get fucked up before the movie. =) Grauman's Chinese is playing it at 7:15, 10:40 or 1:40. Since that's in Hollywood, I figure we could go bar hopping either before or after the movie. Again, get wasted. =) Sense a theme here? Pasadena is playing it at 7 and 10. We can meet up and eat first.. then watch the movie. I know I gave you guys too many options.. but read it over. Tell me what you guys are down for.. cuz the more the merrier and so far three have dropped out. Hell.. I'm *this* close to not going myself. Citywalk.... no fuggin way that zoo sucks ass on the weekends... unless you are into crowds of thugs & way too many people in a SMALL place... Burbank... could be sweet never been...?? Graumans Chinese... It's also very hard to organize people to get in line for a fresh movie opening weekend... not to mention a car meet on top of that. There just too many factors involved.. (Time constrain, money factor, traffic, unfamiliar location, unexpected events, etc)... Remember X-man meet? I think a movie meet like this is best handled when the group is kept small and all attendees are from local. Otherwise, we should separate car meet from movie meets. We can all go to car meets, then whoever left at the end can all go to movies afterward (which means it should not be a new feature film at the theater). Well, I still need to give props to Dave and Tracee for putting efforts into organizing this tho. It's just nearly impossible to do this when people are scattered all over the place with too many variables.. That's just my opinion... I am down to Meet & hang & see the/a flick 4 sure, but I suggest we all be smart & coordinate this when it is NOT the 1st days of the flick' s release.... when people are all frenzied over it...I have not visited ANY "matrix " websites etc etc or any of that crap...BVUT i am REALLY stoked to see this flick too & expect others more geeked out over it than i will see it several times this weekend alone... Much better to go on any other weekend in the next three weeks or so.... otherwise it could be one big ClusterPhuck!!! sooo who's down for a cruuise on sat...?... They release movies like this (Star Wars, X2, etc.) on a Thurs or Wed so that the rabid fans can catch the first showings during the week and then the weekend is left for families with their kids. This being an R rated film I'd think there would be less families out for this one. Looks like it's falling through just when it seemed like things were coming together.
