surging @ low speeds w/mild accelerator pressure

i am having this wierd sort of surging problem that occurs when i am at low speeds (around 30-40 mph). say i am coming to a stop light> let off the accelerator, then the light turns green, > lightly apply the accelerator and then this wierd surging occurs until over 1/8th accelerator is applied. has anyone had this problem and is there a solution. i have had the car serviced @ 60K. and still it has the problems. thanx in advance. 1995 SC 400

Try pressing the Gas pedal 1/16th

nah i know exactly what hes talking about my friends gs does that...do u mean a surge of power? or like ur not gettin gas for a second n then it kicks in for a slight second...thats what my friends gs does...he brought it to the dealer and it still does it...

Oh you mean the initial lag. Thats normal.

...it will surge and like the gas cuts in and out. and will continue to do so until either you release to (1/16 haha) or you further press the pedal. dont know what it could be, nor how to solve it.

Try doing it with the VSC button OFF

VSC = Vehicle Skid Controler.

my 95 SC doesnt have a VSC switch. although it has done it since it was purchased. i dont belive its normal...

WOW, I DIDNT KNOW THAT....BUT HE HAS A SC NOT A GS...WERE THERE ANY RECALLS FOR THE 2001 GS AT ALL?

wow amazing but it does make a lil sense....everyone must check there recall thingys i was really thinking it was more severe than it was.... my ford....contour has the same problem but real severe. the dealer told me it cant hold a compression on the cylinders.i think i have a cracked block but i like my lexus more....duh....so i dont even really care for the ford.......
