MY CAR just shut down???

Im goin threw the process of finding out what is wrong with my baby. I was driving perfectly fine and the car was running so smooth and all of the sudden, i stop at a red light and my car just shuts off. I turned the car off and try to restart it >>>nothing happened.The ignition is trying to turn over but it wont go all the way.. We get home and find out that there is no more check engine light showing and the car is not even giving off a spark anymore we think it might be my ECU.....Does anyone have any ideas or has had the same problem? hit me back with any info fellow LEXUS BROTHERS Please!

ummm alternator?...did it like quiver out on u?...did lights come on before it died?

battery is dead - alternator is dead.

Defective alternator after about 100k is normal on a lexus.

My car did quiver a bit, it was wierd because the car shut down but I still have power going threw my car . My stereo is still powered as well as everything else electrical, but the car wont run. My car will turn like it is trying to start but wont completely now.

Check your starter, most likely what happened is that it failed causing a backsurge to the coil, which would explain the shudder your car made, when the coils polarity was momentarily disrupted. That would also explain why you still have power to your audio and most likely lights. Check your starter.
